What the job includes
- Bulk excavation to plan depth — laser-checked bottom, flat and undisturbed.
- Proper overdig — room for crews to form, waterproof, and drain the walls.
- Walkout shaping — cutting the daylight side to flow naturally into the yard grade.
- Egress window wells — dug and drained so code-required exits don't become code-required aquariums.
- Spoil management — clay out or repurposed on site; topsoil saved separately for final grade.
- Stone, backfill & rough grade — drainage stone where specified, compacted lifts, positive grade away.
Walkout basements
A sloped lot is a walkout waiting to happen — free square footage with real windows. We evaluate whether your lot's fall supports a walkout, and cut the transition so the finished yard flows instead of terracing awkwardly.
